Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!
Underneath our skin are lots of things that make up our body. The bones are called the skeleton and there are 206 bones in the human body. When you are a baby you have over 300 bones but as you grow some of the bones join up which is why you have 206 now. Bones have 3 parts; the periosteum a thin membrane which contain nerves and blood vessels. Underneath is the cortical or compact bone which is smooth and hard. Inside this is a spongy part with little holes in it. Also, deep inside is a tissue called marrow, bone marrow plays an important part in the immune system it helps our bodies fight diseases. You get bigger and taller when your bones grow, and you need calcium to keep your bones healthy. You can get calcium from foods like milk, nuts, and broccoli.
